you could weigh up an existing power steering setup by slowing the pump down.
one way to achieve that is by enlarging the PS pump pulley or by shrinking the crank pulley to underdrive the PS pump.

Re: some intresting about block D-Serie
D13, D14 and D15 are indeed the same block. if I remember correctly, the block code is P2A. the belt difference could be because of different tensioner size. are you absolutely sure about this? the reason i'm asking is that golden eagle makes sleeves for the d15 which should then theoretically fit ...

Re: LPG
glad to know all is well and that I'm making sense for once. :) just a little clarification: I don't have aftermarket fuel / ignition control. both parameters are fully controllable using a modified stock ECU. :) the Ds here didn't come with knock sensors though the block has a tapped hole for one. ...

Re: LPG
@hondamake, you still around? now that I have another Honda in addition to the one I keep molesting all the time, I've almost decided to go balls out and make the test mule run fully on gas. here are some points that I was kicking around. please let me know whether or not they make sense. 1. the rea...

PS reservoir in relocated to serve as a good basis for future experiments. should now make it super easy for me to monitor and replenish my fluid level as needed. it will also be very easy to convert this into a breather type setup. all I need to do is drill a hole in the cap and shove a check valve...

Re: Cooling and Warm up
Good logic, however, if I am having the symtoms as described by archyman, would you not agree that it is the thermostat? I will inspect the thermostat before replacing anyway. at this point, all we are doing is guessing. my guess is that the thermostat is alright. I could be wrong. once you open an...

Re: Cooling and Warm up
that aside, coolant cannot flow through both radiators until it is at the point where the thermostat valve is rated to open. let's say that point is 80*C. because of you turning your heater on, let's say coolant is at 60*C. the thermostat won't open at all and only the mini radiator will be active....

I live in India. don't need no heater. :D that aside, coolant cannot flow through both radiators until it is at the point where the thermostat valve is rated to open. let's say that point is 80*C. because of you turning your heater on, let's say coolant is at 60*C. the thermostat won't open at all a...

Re: Cooling and Warm up
Yep this is all very true, however it shouldn't be this bad. I can watch the needle drop as soon as I put the blower fans on which isn't the way it should be. I have to drive behind lorries to get the car warmed up with heating on, I will take the thermostat out and replace it. If it doesn't help t...

Re: non power steering
I was away from home for a month. came back to find the car in a mess. after fixing everything, when I took the car out, found the steering *rock hard*. it never felt this way before so I knew something wasn't right. when I inspected the rubber hose I used to loop the rack, I found that it was perfo...
