Facelift instrument cluster in predacelift EJ9

Hi, anyone know if there is any issues with dropping a Obd2b cluster into a obd2a car? I got a EK9 cluster from a 2000 model and installed it in my 96 EJ9. Everything works, besides the tachometer. I know the rpm signalpath for the tachometer is different in the 99-00 cars then the 96-98, with rpm s...

Re: A/F values at WOT ?

I see your testing different intake pipe lengths and diameters, Nick.
Didn't you fabricate one to match your tbira?
Was really hoping to see some test-results from that endeavor.

Not to echo myself, but any news on the tbira and your intake, Nick?

And rehost pics, if you don't mind :D

Yeah, that's how I understood it too. Was just curious to what Dodo was up to with that advice. Always up for some new knowledge about alternative ways :D

Re: Where is the TA sensor on D16Y8 intake manifold

5 year necro, but found your (dodo) reply a bit confusing. With you on the stock location of the iat (air filter box), but not replacing the stock airbox? Pretty sure it's going to be pretty hard (and not pretty) to mount a topdraft airbox on a sidedraft manifold. Probably ment the IAT wouldn't need...

D14A4 clutch on D13B2 flywheel on D16Z6 gearbox on D14A4

As in topic, would there be any compatibility issues with a D14A4 clutch on D13B2 flywheel on D16Z6 gearbox on D14A4 engine? Actually Its only the D14A4 clutch on D13B2 flywheel that I'm not 100% sure about. I know the D13B2 {EG3 chassis) got flywheel with 20 splines and 200mm clutch-face (or whatev...

OBD difference between D14A3 and D14A4

Wikipedia notes D14A3 as OBD2-a and D14A4 as OBD2-b.

Is this correct? And if so, does this make any difference to what options you got when it comes to harness swaps, compatible ECU's, required wiring, compatible dizzys and so on?

Yonaka exhaust

Yo guys, been looking at exhaust alternatives for our EJ9. More detailed info about the car can be found in my introduction thread, but in short the car got stock exhaust, including cat, besides an aftermarket muffler. The current muffler has more of an symbolic value, then actually muffling anythin...
