Re: Shot peening conrods
I do realise how big of a challenge this is going to be. i was just going to buy a d16z6 and turbo it but i wana do something ota the normal. No-one ever is willing to spend the money or give any time to the d14 engine which i find a shame. because its an engine that deserves more recognition than i...

Re: Shot peening conrods
rebuilt skyline turbo will work tho. one with steel internals and bored out. will do 400hp. so d13 crower rods, vitara d16a6 pistons and d14 crank also with 1.3mm skimmed off my d14 head wont work? :? this gives a zero piston to deck height? what combination would you all recomend for 400hp? thanks ...

Re: Shot peening conrods
would 400hp be possible? with a rebuilt steel internaled skyline turbo. max boost it can run is 1.7bar. anything higher it just makes lots of heat. to compete in a drag series for a 1.4 and below class. with crower rods and vitaras. only problem with vitaras is they list them to fit all d16s. so are...

I might keep this manifold atm just to see what i end up with. i will end up changing it at some stage. Maybe a go-autoworks inlet manifold. Seen them alot on d16 builds. Pricey tho.
Just bought some BLOX valve springs so the work begins!

Re: Various dynoplots of tuned d14, around the web
yea deffinately. no point reving when its not making anymore power. Is that just because the oil pump cant feed enough to the big end at any more rpm than that? just dunno wher itl make power with the obx inlet. atm car doesnt waken up until around 5500-6000rpm. and then as soon as that happens ur b...

Re: Throttle bodies and intake manifold combinations.
yes. the RACV. rotating air control valve. the D14 tb used the RACV on the D14 tb. which works with the standard ecu. a B or D tb uses the IACV idle air control valve. this is locted on the plenum, not the tb. so if u want to use a diff tb ull need to get rid of the racv and go obd1. then use the iacv
