Re: D14 Custom connecting rod Group buy ??
Tempting...
With some 76mm pistons I could make a killer D14 'frankenstein' engine As a spare block when my D16 engine fails...
I think it's better to build a D14 short block than a D16 short block for racing. It's more reliable and making more rpm on track is always nice

It replaces that black box
My setup:
- 2 hoses at the valve cover to the catchcan
- 1 hose on the block to the catchcan
- 1 return hose from the catchcan to the carter
- Big filter at the catchcan

Re: Sebastix D14Z1 dyno history
how could you exactly verify the head lift? Well...there was quite some coolant leaking between the head and block at the intake side after the tune at 10 psi. Before it was already leaking some coolant at 6 psi :) And now it's gone. I can't imagine it was something beside headlift (I did not any o...

Good product! Really a missing part for SOHC.
We've also made a custom one for my D14. How much mm is it?

Re: Sebastix D14Z1 dyno history
I'm glad you've seen positive results. If the head is actually lifting then the only thing I can think of to cure it would be to increase head bolt tightening torque. Do you use aftermarket bolts? Increasing torque to the bolts isn't a good thing to do specially to stock bolts. There might be ARP's...

Re: Sebastix D14Z1 dyno history
So do you recommend this coolant to the regular one of honda? Did you use honda fluid prior to that? For preventing boiling coolant yes. And it also drops down the pressure in your coolant system to around 4psi. What makes you think you have headlift? Is coolant burning or mixing with oil?[]/quote]...

Re: Sebastix D14Z1 dyno history
@ Joris, was is still making more hp's after 7000rpm? Great results man! As Joris said it looks like it might carry on making power have you not increase the RPM for reliability reasons? Well...more boost = more temperature On the dyno, the engine had headlift and was leaking coolant... For me that'...
