Spring rates civic /integra

Copy/paste From Civicclub.com ... ;) Everything is given in lbs/ins to convert to kg/mm divide by 56.
Example = 240kg/ins divide by 56 = 4.28kg/mm = 4.2K

P = Progressive
L = Linear

Interesting to see is the EK9 spring rate is allready 4.2K .That's a really good upgrade compared to the stock civic ex (coupe) and still have a stock suspension.

a friend of mine has placed the dc2 spings with koni shocks to his ee9. Good improvement but not something extremely special to suggest. Antiroll bars are the key i think.
Thanks for the list.
Furthermore, calculating the harshness to progressive springs in comparison to linear ones is very difficult.

What suprises me is the bias of some kits, I see kits with front 2 to 3 times stiffer as rear, and some of the sport/race kits have this ratio 1.

In my case I can add for Civic chassis 92-99:

D2 616F/392R (need confirmation of the rear)
K-Sports medium: 672F/336R (also rear needs confirmation)

You see the K-Sports has a bias of 2:1 and it feels a lot softer as the D2... though chassis (EJ9 on D2 vs EJ1 on KS) also can make a diff. I'd rather have a setup closer to 1... or actually I'd like the ratio to be the same as the weight bias of the car, so when sudden steering the car does not twist since the roll angle balance front and rear are the same...

My K-Sports under the EJ1 brake down in the meantime (2 dampers started leaking after 4 years, I consider myself lucky since other people had it as soon as 2 months). The D2 under the EJ9 are now donated to the EJ1... and surprise surprise I always found the EJ9 stiffer, but now the D2's are under the EJ1 and the car is actually much stiffer. Conclusion, factory specs are very inaccurate sometimes. There might be a bias in my story due to damping difference... but my gut feeling tells it is in the springrate itself since roll in corners has changed as well.

i got dc2 springs with kayaba AGX they are very good so far for some improvement and can handle my B engine so not the tires fall too much and touch the fenderes , very good for drag also ^_^
Up the Rev Limiter !!!!!!

For some weeks now I have installed some ITR DC2 springs with my bilstein shocks.
They are identical in height with my previous HhR springs. I couldn't believe my eyes.

The ride height is identical to HnR, so almost 3.5cm
The car handles very nice and it is very comfy, and bounces significantly less. I will post a good photo to see how it sits.

That could makes sence since a Type-r sits 1.5-2cm lower then a regular civic .And there might be some difference in spring height between the civic and integra springs.
Good to know integra springs lower about 3.5cm on a civic.
