Have you used aftermarket lug nuts? Apart from less weight and probably strength do you know any other merits?
The thing i am afraid most is that they will lose their color when trying to get the rims out.

I have used Black racing lug nuts (extended) ,they were anodized red and after a year they turned pink in color.Other then that i never had any problems with them i loved them cause they would stick out of the wheel .
Don't use them on stock wheels that's asking for problems.Stock honda wheels use round curved contact area ,most aftermarket wheels use straight tapered contact area. Also use a momentum wrench to fasten those alu lug nuts, you don't want to over tighten them!
Right now i have Muteki lug nuts ,they are hard steel and painted in red.The paint sucks it chips off to easy...
