why OBD1?

I want to ask why it is OBD1? Can you put some sort of ECU OBD2?

Most people use OBD1 because it is easily to change. To modifiy a OBD1 ECU for a specific engine you need aprox. 20 euro. For a OBD2 ECU is would be aprox. 120 euro. An other advantage of OBD1 is the software that is being use to tune. Software like eCtune, Crome, Hondata, Neptune all are based on OBD1.

but if i have some ECU with VTEC base (d15 d16 OBD2) i can use it too?
