sorry that begin like this, just my project, involves connecting OBD2b ECU, and not OBD1 as everyone else.
problem is that everyone uses HONDATA, eCtune, Apexi .... but they all support, or OBD1, either K or B series engines.
that advise to configure OBD2b? what is this system? anyone else know?
I just saw that my ECU P2P (which I want to connect) is a JET chip. but I want to I could connect the ECU to a computer, manage settings, remap fuel maps and other

ooo ... my quest like crowned with success ....
why P2P (obd2b)? all from a AT S4PA. This raised only CIVIC COUPE d16y8 (which was OBD2b p2p, and of course my civic 1.4 p3y), naturally I thought that should be the same ECU.
Now I learned that my box can be replaced by an older M24A (5gen d16z6), which was ECU P28.
ie, if I had 5GEN CIVIC, with ECU P28 + M24A AT, when im replace the box on S4PA I would NOT change ECU. So I'm staying in the unit OBD1 with P28!!! HURRAY!
I hope I'm right. and that the replacement boxes, no interoperability problems. especially in electronics

can! but expensive)
is a reference to how this is done, the idea is that to replace "the chip matrix " to "programmable chip matrix"

all the same I hope that I can use the P28, while collecting the theory

I only way to tune OBD2 ecu's is to fit a piggy back management system like a SAFC system. I really dont like these systems as all the do is trick the ecu into thinking the air / fuel ratio etc is different from what it actually is. In my mind this is dangerous, you could develop engine stall when reving high when you close the throttle due to over fueling under air supply. To be honest i would personally stick to OBD1 chipped and tuned.
Would like to invite DODO and CRX2 to this thread, guys what are your thoughts on this one.

I'm just looking for a system to balance - set P28 (AT) with the head VTEC D16Z6. cheaper and easier. but I'll be glad of any information.

if you tune piggybacks right with a wideband sensor and only while reading full throttle then don't worry. For corrections up to 10-15% they do what they are supposed to just right

That webpage shows how to chip obd2 ecus but it doesn't tell you how to reprogram the chip itself. Is there any software out there to program ob2b ECU maps that i don't know of?
