Nice post! I never bothered going into details since CRX2 helps me out with it, but really nice overview.

yes

PO6 goes with d15b7 engine OBD1 mpfi non vtec
P28 goes with d16z6 engine OBD1 vtec

P28 is most wanted Honda ECU, can be adapded to all B-series engine, becouse it's easy do remap and and some new maps.

So i'll need PO6 to go obd1 as i won't do the mini-me. Is this ecu trouble free and fully functional with ej9s? I know that no - more immobilizer (right?) but are we going to sacrifice anything else?

PO6 and P28 are 5g. ('92-'95) ECUs there was no oem immo then...
so there is no problem.
I ride with PO6 with oem d15b7 fuelmaps now, propably Dodo also has PO6 with vtec added... if he didn't change it since he wrote his OBD1 manual ;) .
P28 is for vtec so you can use it after minime, also becouse of fuel maps.
