I have just done a inlet manifold swap on my facelift D14 using a d16z6 inlet manifold. The car hasent been started since about 2 months ago. My car is now idling at around 4000 rpm then revving itself with white smoke coming out from the exhaust. Anyone know whats wrong?

Your rpm is going up and down constantly?

If so check for any airleaks, and clean the RACV ( Re.. Air Control Valve) this was the issue in my case.

Good luck ;)

Moved it here!
That's right! Search for any leaks! Let us know if the problem insists.
The white smoke indicates another problem i think.

I say, cover the IACV properly ! it is very very sensible. Replace the throttle gasket ! Just a single leak, even if it is not visible could do this. Idle is stable but at 4000rpm right? After cover the holes and replace the gasket, rotate the screw to adjust idle. White smoke is a stranger symptom in a IM swap. More info? Does it have oil consumption? Did you change valve seal recently? Cheers
