hi fellow D14 men/women:P, i've a problem:

i have done an IM swap.

now my car is much faster in fist, second an third gear.
but if i shift to fouth and fifth gear my car wont go any faster then 160 km/h and revs up to just 4000 rpm, after that it goes very slow to nothing up.

do u guy's know what my problem can be?

it's the 1st time i hear that. Do you have any ecu lights on the dashboard? This means that it lacks power from then on?

But for real, havn't heard it either. You dont have any other problems?

maybe if you posted a video we could see. If possible try to show us the acceleration in all gears.

my timingbelt snapped in the mean while, but that is taken care of
i'm working on my head, higher my compression etc.

if that is done i'm gonna read out my ecu to see if there are any faults,

my signal on the dash (yellow engine light) was normal i've checked.....

maybe the problem is that i'm ridin' on 17" rims (5zigen)?

17inch are overkill!

Only take 17 inch from over 200 hp would be my recommendation hehe .

then i should get myself 2 15 or 16 inch rims for such things as sprints and track days

another thing i was reminded of, when i painted my car and i was assembling my car, i did not alligned my clutch pedal and clutch cillinder well , so i was driving with a slipping clutch. now i don't know if this might be the problem?

With a slipping clutch you would recognize the revs going up while speed was staying the same... and the clutch of an EJ9 I believe should re-adjust itself after some time, just like the brake pedal isn't it?

no i have checked that the rev's aren't going higher while the speed stays the same, but in low gears i don't recognize, and when i'm driving on the freeway, 4th and 5th gear i felt and smelled that my clutch was slipping, that problem is over now but i thought my clutch would be used up pretty much trough that mistake.
