I get terrible radio reception from my stereo, upon inspection of the OEM aerial its pretty darn rusty, anyone know how i can remove and replace it? it runs all the way down through the chassis around the front window, no clue what to do with it other than to just cut it off and put another seperate aerial somewhere else

I just removed one from a car, seems the cable has a knot in it. You have to remove the fusebox etc. to really see it and get it out properly. Got the same reception propblem even when it was new. I installed an internal antenna with an amplifier which is just as bad...

I think it is typically for the EJ/EK antenna design that its bad, 5th gen Civics seem to have much better reception. At least thats what I always noticed.
