Try them! They have perfect specs.giannis wrote:saxophonias wrote:For the same price i get my mobil 1 0-40 fully synthetic. Great properties, superior to motul 300v.
Are they better from Amsoil? Is it safe to use them on my B16A2? I mean 0-40?

Mobil one fully synthethic is one of the best oils out there afaik.
I'm using Castrol Magnatec 10W40 with Hamp filter.

Hyundai has 10w/40 fully synthetic oil but it is not good oil.
The cost is 8 euro per liter. The specifications of oil is old and antiquated.

It will help a lot to keep the oil temperature at normal level.

X2 or a oem heat exchanger will help a lot too.
Also get some brand name oil like mobil one or castrol or...
The cheaper oil's brake down faster on higher temps.
A good brand oil can withstand 120-130° of oil without the molecule's breaking apart.

Man the more you rev the better oil you need in terms of good lubrication. Don't listen to nonsence. B-series are designed to burn some oil, but on the other hand more than a specific quantity means more worn engine. In any case you must be aware of the consumption so as not to drain it and damage the engine. Also your super short gear ratios make your engine work in higher revs which leads to more oil consumption.

Re: 10W40 full synthetic oils
i thought about it also the gearbox is keeping always high revs and maybe that causes the engine to burn oil !!!
