What is yours oil consumption?

My car has 400ml oil consumption every 1000km.
Is normal or something worrying?

I think it is too much... Did you replaced already the valve seal?
My car as none, or almost no oil consumption.
I've done 7000kms with mine Shell Helix Hx7 10w40.
Mods in my engine are just D15Z6 intake manifold.

Yes i have replaced the valve gasket.
I don't know what is the problem the valve seals or the piston rings.

every 1000 or 10.000? if it is the former then it is worrying... I have 400ml every 6000km that is every oil change, and this doesn't happen all the time. Also 0-40 is thin enough.

The actual oil consumption is 400ml every 2000km.

still quite high, maybe you have leak out of the valve cover gasket that you cant see?? whats your mileage?

This oil consumption can't be explained. With 10-40 and normal use (good engine condition) d12/13/14/15s aren't supposed to consume almost any quantity of oil. When you are into a more aggressive use with sport thin oils then some oil consumption is reasonable for our engines.
Tell us a bit about your car. Did you get it as knew? How do you use it? Do you wait for oil and water temperature until you rev high etc? Oil consumption as you know might be for various reasons. Head, piston rings,leakage, type of oil etc.

If you didnt already, change valve seal not valve gasket !
If it isnt from that should be piston rings.
What kind of oil do you use?
half a litre every 2000kms or so, is too much on D14.

my friends d14 leaks out of the valve cover gasket because he didnt put it on properly whe changing the timing belt. have you replaced you valve cover gasket??
