Re: D14Z2 full VTEC conversion
hi, yes i used a d16z6 head and dizzy, easier than doing any more wiring/conversion and the dizzy fits with all 3 bolts aswell.

Hi Tom. How's the project coming on? Your last posts described a possible head/gasket problem, is it sorted?
Fast, reliable, cheap. Pick any two - because you won't get all three!

Re: D14Z2 full VTEC conversion
hi steve,
Current overheating situation is like this:
Removed the stat to see if it would help, it did alot!iv been driving like this for about a month, and i can only get the car to overheat when i have a passenger and am going slowly up hill(say in 3rd)but apart from that it never overheats.
I am aware that i hav'nt fixed the problem, just masked it. im wondering what could cause it to cook?iv still got a waterpump sat at my house to fit...
When i stopped the engine yesterday after overheating, the car made a lot of loud bubbling noises.
Any ideas i should check? The head gasket/headwork is going to have to wait as im in the process of moving out (finally) so money is tight again.
