ok so ive swapped my ej9 with d16z6 and the head has the camshaft bearings broken.so here is my plan.to move the camshaft,the rocker arms etc,to my d14 head.ive seen somebody doing that on the internet but i can't find the link anymore.so it has been done but i need to know how.thanks

Introduce please yourself at the right section

You can try to swap all head components of the D16z6 to D14 and you will see if it works. The valves are the same so they don't need to be changed and the rocker arm bolts are the same
I think there is no something difficult (bolt on) if as you say it is possible.

Now I remembered that the D16z6 head has a place for vtec solenoid but the d14 not.
Even if the valvetrain fit the solenoid will not.
So I don't know if it is possible this swap

You can change it with a d15z6, not a d14.

thats not a problem with the vtec solenoid.the biggest problem is the oil that feeds the vtec lobes,the rocker arms if they fit,so if anyone has a picture of a d14 head without the cam and the rocker arms so we can compare them.im hopping if this works,the d14 head to have smaller combustion chamber ,so the car will be faster.

It is d16y7 head but it is same with d14

How you will planing to mount the vtec solenoid?

ok so ive studied the pictures and the major difference was the thing that ive expected.the vtec oil line.the vtec solenoid possition i haven't figured yet.here's a picture with the thing that needs to be improved.thanks a lot for the pictures,great team here at dodo's.any ideas ???http://www.abload.de/img/z1headdisasambled01t6m4.jpg
see on the left at the second bearing it is the oil that feeds the vtec.

I think it is impossible to work the D16z6 vtec on D14 head because of solenoid. It seats with offset at D16z6 head. Even if you want open holes at D14 head for solenoid you can't because there is no offset head casting
