1.
Step is checking al of your parts. Know that your parts are exactly the parts you needed. For an example check your conversion harnass if al the pins are wired to the correct connectors.
Of course with a nice cup of coffee.
2.
Make sure you label all of the connectors on your engine loom. Doing this will avoid problems during installation. For example my VSS sensor.
3.
Now its time to work on the engine bay.
Remove your battery and remove the battery holder in order to get to the engine harnass under it.
With a socket 10 you can unbolt the grommet holding the rubber.
5.
Remove your distributor
6.
Remove the original D14 engine loom. Take the time to find all the connectors and dont rush it.
The two looms beside each other
7.
Make sure you block off the original RACV and connect the IACV to your D16Z6 IM. For instructions http://www.dodo-upgrades.nl/obd1swapd14a34.htm
8.
Check if you have a 2-wire IACV or a 3-wire. If 3-wire change it to 2 wire
9.
Install the D16y7 (EK3) engine loom and make sure you connect the right connectors to the right sensors. Otherwise it can lead to fried ECU..
10.
Install the D15B7 distributor with the conversion harness and connect it to the engine loom. Set the distributor in the middle.
11.
Connect the engine loom to the conversion harness.
12.
Connect the conversion harness to the P06 ECU.
13.
Connect the green interior plug to the engine loom.
14.
Check all connections twice! Make sure they are ok.
15.
Install the batteryholder and the battery
16.
Start the car. And see if everything works ok.
17.
Set the ignition timing.
