is looks just like these...
but i couldnt fit the whole system because th ej9 chasis dos not have the holes in the right under the airbox driled out ...(and i dont know if want to do it ... )
the air is sucked in under the airbox near the expansion tank
Re: Cold Air Intakes, Airboxes and Scoops
It is easy to open a hole on the frame. You can use either a drill (the right method) or a screwdriver and hammer like I did . There is no any bad effect to the chassis. Consider that ek3, ek4 and ek9 have there a hole for resonator.
Advantage from opening the hole is you can install the air resonator box that reduces the induction air noise.

The small pipe at 7 oclock in the last picture, where does that draw air from? Do you not think that it is a very small diameter?
I will remove the resonator because I like the air induction noise, though I will need to add a small pipe for linking the air filter to induction tube and then I might aswell just make an induction tube with a aftermarket air filter... Decisions Decisions...

I plan on drilling the chassis after feeling the hot summer reflecting on engine performance.
What is your opinion about the type of piping to use, lenght, shape etc?
And is there is a real benefit in drawing air from the bumper to filter...Did someone measure it on a dyno?

I am sure it creates a short of ram air! If you blow air with your mouth from the outer side of the tube on the bumper you can feel it in the hole inside the engine bay

I came to know that the popular dc2 airbox with the cone airfilter isn't as rare as we believed. All the junior intregras with d16 zc sohc engine has the same airbox only with smaller intake tube. Here you go
So we can source them for cheap
I would like to have it a go to replace my apexi dry filter. What do you think?
