gearbox problem
guys as you remember I have the d14a8 gearbox in my ej9. These days I noticed that when I lift the gas pedal having high revs I can hear a sound coming from the box. It's like a bearing or something. The weird is that I can't hear it when I accelerate but only when I have 5000rpms let's say and I lift the throttle. What can it be?
Re: gearbox problem
maybe the bearing on the gearbox needs to be replaced !!!
Up the Rev Limiter !!!!!!

Re: gearbox problem
I forgot to mention that it was only a vibration sound as the intake tube was a bit loose.
However I have to say that ever since I swapped the d14z8 gearbox with the shortest final ratio (4.4) it seems to be a lot noiser in comparison with the stock one which has a longer final drive. I don't know whether this is reasonable or not given that they are oem boxes.
