Get one! You just need to drill some holes to screw it. No big deal

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
Can someone tell me if this bar (highlighted in green) is stock on 97 model civic? I have the supports highlighted on red, but not the bar.
Car did have a little crash some years ago... i'm thinking if the bar was not removed then. Thanks !
This is an impact bar and most 99-00 civics have it stock. This bar is obligatory in the US and if you see it is standard on all new cars.
Mine doesn't have one.
You can find it pretty cheap on ebay.
Re: Chassis Reinforcement
How much does it weight? I'm guessing that the bar is important in a frontal impact...
Maybe i get one from the junkyard. Cheers

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
i think it weighs enough. It's very good for impacts and can save you from extra damage. Still some welding job is required and you put weight on the front end which isn't the best thing to do as for handling
Re: Chassis Reinforcement
i'll think about it

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
I have always wanted to have these fender braces.
They give better steering feedback, better turn in and on the whole they make the chassis more solid.

I have invited the dealer to our site. Let's hope to a 1st group buy

From now on you are 'D' squad. 'D' for dirtbags...
