Turbo Projects
Re: Turbo Projects
how many people have experience with daily turbo's?..i drive my car during the weekends, but around oktober till april i need the car as a daily. i think i make around 6000-7000km a year.
to be honest there are so many factors to keep in mind to make it a relayable, but assuming the factors as cooling/low boost (thinking about 150/160 hp) good maintenace and a good ecu tune.
how realistic is this sins the car is not specific build for a turbo?
what kind of a change of maintenace are we looking at?
and the last thing; sorry for my english

Re: Turbo Projects
7000 km a year is nothing, i've been pulling 10000 a year with my turbo setup, you just need to change the oil more often, but in the 5000 km range or 6 months. The tune is the key, but if you dont exeed 160 hp, there's no reason for it not to be reliable
Re: Turbo Projects
I'm driving 30.000 - 40.000 km a year with my daily Honda Civic Coupe with D16Y7 turbo (@ 0.6 bar). Going strong for already 1.5 years now without any big problems. Just doing regular maintenance to keep the engine and car in good condition

Re: Turbo Projects
what turbo are you using?
im planning on using a T04e on a cast topmount manifold.
t3 housing with a 50A/R copressor and a 63A/r exhaust housing.
anyone got some experience with different turbos?
