ok there is pictures off changing process...

Original D14A3 "gasket"...

The Original D14A3 gasket had a smaller hole through which air enters the IM... And thereway thei reduced the power! I heared that these (D14A3) models are intended for Germany to avoid paying high taxes! :)

the easiest and cheapest 10hp or so! Indeed d14a3 versions like d14a7 were restricted for tax reasons! It was the 75hp limit in Germany and some other european countries.

Thanks for sharing! ;)

Also in Belgium taxes change, and I heard Germany (also?) had cheaper insurance.

The Netherlands no difference but still they sold the D14A3  .

My car is from Germany D14A3 but with the 90hp.
I checked the gasket is the big one.
There is a huge confusion with the horsepower of D14A3, the most people know that this engine has 75hp but there was also 90hp edition too.
Also only in few aftermarket parts catalogue are written D14A3 with 90hp, the most write 75hp.
