This is the ek9 rear system. You can see the medium bar and the stronger subframe.

EK9 chassis were picked out of the automated production line to be hand welded in some places for reinforcement... should know which places.

The rear system fits to ours but then again, you have to weld it to the chassis. Instead you can add an ASR system like mine which gives the same, even better rigidity results.

Joris do you know where the extra weldings are done to the ek9 chassis?

well when me and my friends fitted the h22 to our crx we stich welded the chassis to increase rigidity, ie, this maybe similar to what honda have done to the EK9....

well you are sposed to stich weld not seam weld so that the chassis still has some flex, my friend is good at welding so it was easy for him... although he did do the welding about 1 foot away from a halve full tank of petrol without noticing!!!! luckily nothing happened!!!

this is a pic of stich welding i found on google

sorry law i have no pics of the project, it was almst 2 years ago when i was in college and the only pics we had where on our phones!! sorry :(

Rear subframe gone bad, is frequent when installing bigger than 12mm swaybars. This is the core source
http://www.superhonda.com/forum/f27/civ ... it-183381/
It happened with 22mm swaybar and Beaks kit, after hard track use.
