Gearbox oil
Re: Gearbox oil
The best choice for gearbox is the Honda MTF because it has special additives for protection. The MTF has good duration about 40.000km then is better to change it.
If you can not find the MTF you can use usual oil 10w/40 for short time.
The Honda MTF and 10w/40 have the same base, the difference between them is that MTF has special additives to protect the transmissions.
In any case do not use any other gear oil it will come to failure.

Re: Gearbox oil
Honda dealers sell it at 5.20eur / L
Re: Gearbox oil
The MTF is not expensive but here in Greece Honda dealers sell it in bulk or in 25L canisters, the liter costs from 6-14euros.
Might from dealer to dealer you see different price as I saw here.

Re: Gearbox oil
Here in Portugal you have to take your own bottle or buy 25L.
Eco value for recycling must be payd also and it is ~50cent.

If it is difficult to find MTF, you can use normal oil 10w/40 for 10,000 km.
