yes indeed, the grinding/sawing isn't the worst, its the chemical plastic smell of the grinding

Re: OBD1 OEM ECU connectors
I got some good news for you guys ,no more sawing
I just received my other connectors today.
The Ecu connector is exactly the same as my oem D14 Ecu as you can see.
And the new 26 pin connector that i first ordered the wrong one ,now does fits.

I was working on a Alfa Romeo 159 last week, and i was working on the left door. Was removing the widowswitches... and saw OBD1 ecu connectors?! wtf..
So there are more car brands that use these connectors.

Yup when I researched this shit I also got the notion that Italian brands used the same connectors. But I wasn't told the exact specs/which brand.

Hmm that's good to know .In the meanwhile i allready started making the new harness .Printed out the whole guideline from the obd1 swap ,just doing things step by step. This time i got some real automotive cable with lot's of different colors so i can match the oem colors ,make things even easier.I can leave the vtec wires out now , and use the correct ignition connectors .I'm also using thicker core cable's everywhere ,and double insulating every connection with crimp pipes.I got a lot of rewirering to do , engine harness ,extend Car radio harness and making a harness for my Electric power steering pump.
