EJ2 Civic b16b equipped

Post by saxophonias »

Hi guys! Tell me your opinion on this one. I might get my self on buying a second civic in the near future. I would like to get my hands on a civic coupe. A friend of mine has been selling his coupe. It has a b16b engine, with zeal coilovers, 16inch s2000 wheels, lsd, 5 lug conversion, big brakes, recaro seats etc.
This is the car

A friend of mine has it. Its price is 8000e. With this money i can get an ek4 hatch. Imagine that a dc2/ep3 in my country would cost 15000e and an ej9 4000e.
If i buy it i will be like Joris
Any feedback guys?

The EG civic chassis is much defformable than Ek's one. One i saw lifting a Del Sol Vti (EG2) and the door didnt close properly while the car was on the air. This happens most on EGs.

The same preparation, will give a better car on Ek Chassis. Not so light, and aerodynamic (great roof section for the size of the car on Egs), but better behaved. Thats my opinion.

The color is difficult to sell also ! Lots of people will say : humm i would buy but is purple i guess. Cheers

I am going to drive this ej2 and a friend's of mine ej6 with b16b and b18c engines. I want to see if they are any different suspension and chassis wise.
Furthermore how can i tell whether it is a real b16b apart from the typical numbering on the block?

You cannot distinguish cause its equal to B18s on the outside except for differences in exhaust manifold. You can distinguish them from B16a though. They are visually different in some places. Cheers
