Below is a link with honda civic GX us spec 98-00 engine D16B5 that runs natural gas.
The interest point of this engine is the compression ratio that is 12.5

Info is pretty dated ,are some minor flaws in the pistons compression height and such.But i still use it from time to time,it has been around for a long time.I don't think Ben 'Bense' still works on D-series engines anymore

But how this engine (d16b5) has such a big compression ratio?
How the mechanics of honda achieve this compression for d-series engine?
I am wondering if you can use these pistons (13010-PDN-A00) at ours cars will you have any benefit at power?

Power i dont know, but it could handle more compression for sure...

The high compression ratio is normal because it runs on natural gas .LPG/LPI. Natural gas can have much higher compression without detonating unlike gasoline. They have done this for fuel effeciency, very economical car.
Most d-series with pm7 pistons also have 12 :1 compression , and i've seen several D16 builds that run on 12.5 :1 compression on 98 gasoline so that's nothing new.You could use those pistons but the big problem is you can't buy them anymore in the states.People have been looking around for them a long time but they are nearly impossible to get a hold of.The Civic GX isn't a car that has been build a lot either...

Guys, can you confirm the value for D14 stock head chamber volume?
Also this values are correct right?
Cause i'm using them to modulate on Lotus engine Simulator at the university. That way later i can share a model with you guys and simply test mods in the computer. Lotus engine Simulator is really accurate.
Center to center length (rod length) : 138 mm
Big-end bore (Rod bearing size) : 43 mm
Crank bearing size : 45mm
Compression height : 29.5 mm
Dish shape estimated between -2.8 and -3.3 cc
Piston dish of the P3Y (D14a4/a3 piston) is -5.4cc.
Deck height is 207 mm you can calculate it :
Stroke /2 = 79 /2 = 39.5 + Rod length = 138mm + Piston Compression height (29.5mm) = 207mm
(Alternative : 207.45mm)
Piston to deck height = 0
Pistons Pin is 19mm (alternative is 18mm)
Stock D14 Head Gasket is 0.028" compressed.
78mm with sleeves is the max you can go.
Combustion Chamber volume : 34.6cc (?)
Disc shape and piston dish is the same thing?
