Re: Cams for D14
You could be right that they are in fact the same.It wouldn't suprise me if honda uses the same cams if they work. But like you already said yourself a real D14 has different lopes ,so you also know a D16 cam isn't the best cam for a D14.
Everybody knows a custom cam gives you the maximum gains ,i'm not saying a D16 cam doesn't work good ,but it isn't the best for maximum gains.

According to service manual, D14A3/4 and D16Y7 are NOT the same (wysokość krzywki wałka = lobe height)

Okay, still a change for a D16Y7 cam setup in D14 left . But seems close isn't it? (Ignoring lobe shape)

Re: Cams for D14
1,26 mm difference on exhaust lobe height and 0.45 mm difference on intake lobe height.Seems small but i think it can make a big difference in timing and degrees. But we don't know the lobe angle's or any cam specs of the y7 cam.Too bad actually we really need to compare them properly.
I'm still sticking to what i said before...

Hmmm you're right, I didn't look close enough at the numbers, 1.25 mm on Ex will make a diff...
Re: Cams for D14
If we use camshaft from D16Y7 or D15Z4-5 in D14A3-4, the engine will gain any power?
Seems that camshaft from D16Y7, D15Z4-5 is more aggressive than D14A3-4.
