Inlet manifold gasket

Post by boggs »

Hello would it be ok to use a D16z6 inlet manifold gasket on my D14 as I have just completed a D16z6 inlet manifold swap and need a replacement gasket.

Also do these gaskets really lower intake temps and give better performance

Thanks

if you don't have air injection, which you shouldn't (some 99-00 d16y8 do) there will be no problem. The intake gasket does work, but i am not sure about the brand. Hondata has similar products too.
This is how you recognise the air injection manifold

Thanks alot for that. It shouldent be air injected as its off a D16z6 although I will double check. Would you encourage me to wait and get a gasket off a more well known company?

You can swap intake manifold right away. there are not too much gains, and it is relativly easy to change it in the future. go for it. cheers

I have already done the swap although the gasket i used was dodgy wanted to make sure a D16z6 one would work with no problems before I orderd one.
