the turbo timer only keeps the engine running for some time (you adjust the time) in order the engine temperature to cool down. Thus the engine keeps running with the keys off.

A turbo timer is used to keep the oil pump running so the turbo doesnt burn the oil still in it when the engine is down.
And a turbo on duty is pretty hot. While the engine shoudn't get to hot to cause damage.
A friend did make a capsule around his turbo to keep the exhaust gasses as hot as possible for better flow but it burned the heatwrap crispy.
Oil just can't handle these thempratures.
N/A cars don't need one. After a race session it's better to make a slow lap to cool everything down.
I guess a turbo timer @ 1 minute on N/A engine doesn't help cooling the engine at all...
