Re: Chassis Reinforcement
these bars are stock dc2. i would love to have them installed. Have you seen any around or even do we know any part numbers? Maybe from honda they aren't expensive just like the ek4 strut bar
Re: Chassis Reinforcement
The bar at top of fuel tank is not to make the car stiffer, is just for protection wires and fuel tank cap.
The bar at trunk reinforces the chassis at dc2, the eks have the bar for trunk reinforcement outside. I mean the item after the rear bumper (number 13 at picture), it makes the same job as the bar in trank of dc2

HondaNickx has one from ek9 but is the lightweight edition of rear beam

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
The other option is to put trailer hitch, it makes the same job and you can have trailer

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
From Nick's post,
the bars cost 100 and 167 pounds respectively. they surely give strength to the chassis

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
The number 3 bar is from the rear subframe.
I want to put one from ek9 (dc2 doesn't fit)
Aslo the number 1 bar doesn't fit on ek civics (LHD) with abs.
The abs fuse box obstructs the bar
As for the number 4 bar doesn't fit as I know.
But we can swap a rear bumper beam from 99-00 civics. Moreover we can swap from 99-00 civic the front bumper beam for the front axle

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
man i a bit dubious whether the impact bars offer any rigidity, good for cornering. Apart from protection on crashes
the way and the point they embrace the chassis and finally the extra weight especially in front don't know if they are of any good.

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
Yes the weight is an issue but I think the bars and beams are making job
Here is the front bar of ek9
