Re: The mini-me project. Head swap
just beware of extra revving as d16 dislike high revving (7500 and on)
Re: The mini-me project. Head swap
Good luck!
You will gain torque but loose revving with D16.
Why do not swap only the head of d16 if it is vtec?

Re: The mini-me project. Head swap
hehe well i did this mini me swap in my d14A4 like 8 months a go and it's fun to drive, even tho i never tuned it (i'm sure it runs super rich). but i need more power and torque, and it will be cheaper for me to just change the displacementBETEK wrote:Good luck!

well as far as my setup is concerned i think i'll will stop making power at around 7000 (12.1:1 CR) so, for a daly driver, no need to go furthersaxophonias wrote:

A lil off topic** Dodo do you have experience making basemaps? could you help me making one for my setup?

Nope, I can't make any basemaps other than give advice on them.
Start of with P28 stock when doing mini-me... will be rich in lower revs and high revs are lean.
But now you're doing D16 so ehm... just start from stock P28 is the most sensible.
Most curious thing I learned is that ignition maps should be kept stock... changing them (other than the base offset) never got me much.

well, as soon as i get a basemap i'll post it for you guys to take a look.
As far as ingition tables, remember that i'm going with a pretty high CR so i have to change the ingnition (mostly retard) to avoid knock!

Re: The mini-me project. Head swap
Hi guys,
I am collecting parts for the mini-me and I have this question:
do I need Z6 injectors (240cc) or my D14A4 are good. One person told me that my old injectors (190cc) will give enough fuel. Is that true?

mini me means that you will be using vtec head with its ecu so 240cc are necessary

thks saxophonias, I also ment this after reading all this stuf at this forum and our Croatian one.
But this guy told me that it is no need to spent money on injectors and my old one will be fine.
..... so I need do by one more item ( 4 items )

Re: The mini-me project. Head swap
the little injectors are fine with the intake manifold swap. In mine I haven't swapped them and still have increased their performance up to 8% which is not a great deal. But still I have an obd2a stock ecu. Since you will be swapping heads do it right
