Distributor pinouts

Below you find a list of some common OBD0, OBD1 and OBD2 distributor pinouts.

One word of warning for those attempting swaps which contain OBD0 distributor parts somewhere. The color coding between CK (CRANK) and CP (CYLINDER POSITION) circuits have been swapped by honda near the end of the OBD0 era. I try to provide strict OEM pinouts on this page. It occurred to me that many jumper harnesses are not according to these pinouts, but CK and CY circuits are swapped with each other. This probably came forth from keeping colors equal in the wire looms over connectors, but doing so mixing up positions and functions. Bottomline; with OBD0 mixes, beware that the circuits from ECU to distributor are actually connected as expected!

Distributor pinout OBD0 7+2 pin. Found in B16A/B16A1 equipped vehicles for example.
Distributor pinout OBD1 5+2 pin. Found on D15B2 OBD1 for example.
Distributo pinout OBD1 7+2 pin. Found in D15B7 and D16Z6 equipped vehicles for example.
Distributor pinout OBD2 10 pin. Found on many OBD2a engines like D15Z6, but may be not strictly limited to those.
Distributor pinout OBD2 8 pin. Found on manu OBD2b equipped vehicles.
Distributor pinout OBD2 7 pin. Found on vehicles equipped with a LED sensor distributor (only have the TDC signal, no CK or CY circuits). Typically found in the OBD2a EJ9 and some of the MA/MB chassis.
