This connector connects the engine bay and interior loom together in (most?) 6th gen Civics. The below pinouts are from manual EJ9 and automatic EJ6 chassis from ’96-’98 models, as in the OBD2a layout. Note that the OBD2b layout is significantly different and cannot be interchanged to my opinion. The pinouts are almost identical and the parts that are different (back-up lights versus gear selection) are using the same connectors and routing near the transmission. This means an AT loom can be easily used in MT setups with only minor re-work.
