First order placed

Hi all, starting in 2021 I plan to start a little webshop on Dodo-Upgrades. Dedicated to making OBD1 conversions on EJ9 a little easier, and perhaps throw in connector kits for some other rare to find issues typical encountered when working with EJ9 (but perhaps MA/MB chassis likewise).

In 2005-2007 I did make some custom harnesses made from scrapyard parts. Not the best but hey, we all got to learn.

I’ll be selling EJ9 conversion harnesses (which can be considered half engine looms actually) and various connector kits for sensors like VTEC and 4-wire lambda. My goal is to use brand new OEM parts as much as possible, or provide parts from aftermarket manufacturers with OEM quality.

More greasy and dented scrapyard parts…

I just placed my first order for a large batch of mostly the OBD1 ECU connectors today. Other parts will be ordered in the coming weeks as well as working myself through legal stuff. My planning is to have the first products photo ready and ship ready in January.

To give you an idea: the basic EJ9 to OBD1 conversion harness will consist of the ECU AD header (EJ9) and ABD connectors (OBD1) and will contain long wires into the engine bay for 4-wire lambda, a shielded loom (as in OEM spec!) for 6 wires of the distributor pick-up signals (TDC, CKP CYP) with either OBD1 or OBD2 distributor connectors and a separate 2-wire IACV connector. This will sell below the 150 EUR mark including instructions.

Options will be offered for various VTEC configurations and IAB at a surplus price. All connectors and headers in my looms will be sold separately as well.

If you have questions, want to show interest in these looms or like to express your interest in a different conversion/connector solution, please drop me an email or comment here.

Good to hear. I am running way late on my planning due to more dayjob work than anticipated. But I expect at least to have a demo version ready beginning Februari.
